What Is the Random Pokémon Generator?
The random Pokémon generator is an online tool that picks random Pokémon for you. It covers all 1,025 species from Generation I through Generation IX. Each result shows the National Pokédex number, the name, the types, the base stats, the height, the weight, and the abilities. Every card also links to that Pokémon on the official Pokédex.
How to Use the Random Pokémon Generator
- Choose a generation: Filter to one generation, or leave All Generations to draw from every region.
- Choose a type: Filter to one of the 18 types, or leave Any Type.
- Choose an evolution stage: Pick unevolved Pokémon, fully evolved Pokémon, or any stage.
- Set how many: Generate 1 to 12 Pokémon at a time. Six gives you a full team.
- Filter special Pokémon: Legendary, Mythical, Ultra Beast, and Paradox Pokémon are included by default. Clear any of the four checkboxes to leave that group out of the draw.
- Generate: Click "Generate Random Pokémon".
- Keep and re-roll: Click Keep this one on any card you like. The next click keeps that Pokémon and replaces only the others.
Keep and Re-Roll
Most randomizers make you accept the whole set or start again. This one does not. Lock the Pokémon you want, then generate again to replace the rest. It is the fastest way to build a team you actually like, one pick at a time.
